I'm starting to get a little discouraged about my mini tin projects. Everyone seems to really like them (in person and online), but i have yet to sell anything. I haven't done any new projects the past 3 weeks just because it's hard to get motivated when it feels like you're doing it all for nothing.  I forced myself to start working on another piece last night and am happy with it. I know that success isn't an instant thing, but a few sales sure helps your self esteem and motivation. Until then, i'll keep plugging along. :(

I managed to fix my round tin!  Plus i learned a few valuable lessons...the first being 'walk away from the project and stop picking at it!'.  The second, is how to fix a pretty substantial flaw in resin. If anyone is curious, i got a fingernail filing/buffing block. I very carefully filed down the resin that was sticking up from the surface. It was delicate work and took a while. Then, once i got it somewhat close to level with the surface, i buffed it to get rid of any rough spots. At this point, the flaw was even *more* obvious so i was starting to lose hope!  I made sure all of the debris was off of the surface and then poured a VERY thin

Mixed results with last night's resin pour. It looked great (see roundtin.jpg), until i fiddled with it for too long. I tried popping a bubble, but the resin set up a lot quicker than it usually does (probably due to the temperature), so i made a bit of a mess of it.  I'm going to attempt to sand and buff out the imperfection tonight. I've never done this before so i'm a little nervous about making it worse.
